Black out the crowd until every number stands alone

The rules

  1. No number may appear twice, unblacked, in the same row or column.
  2. No two blacked-out cells may sit side by side. Touching at a corner is allowed.
  3. Every cell left unblacked must form a single connected area — none may be cut off.
  4. Only two mistakes are pointed out as you play: two blacked-out cells side by side, and a number kept twice in a row or column. Whether every kept cell still connects is checked only once the board is judged as a whole — so a board with no warnings on it can still be unfinished.
  5. Tap a cell to black it out; tap it again to clear it. Press and hold a cell to mark it kept; press and hold again to clear the mark. Drag across several cells to make the same change to all of them.
  6. Every puzzle here is solvable by reasoning alone. You never have to guess.
  7. Got it

Does every puzzle really have one solution?

Yes. Every board goes through a solver before it ships, and anything with more than one solution is thrown out.
